Sustainability Measures and Obligations
Our Sustainability Policy is founded on the belief that incorporating health, safety, and environmental factors into every facet of our operations safeguards our employees, local communities, and the natural surroundings. This approach fosters sustainable expansion and heightened efficiency, while also ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
Sustainable Energy
Our manufacturing facilities situated in Rudong have successfully introduced multiple sustainable and renewable energy projects. These initiatives include, but are not restricted to, outdoor lighting powered entirely by solar energy, electric fork lifts (which save more than 7 tons of CO2 emissions annually), and our primary project, rooftop solar power generation. We project that this year, the rooftop solar power generation will yield 820,000 kWh, resulting in a reduction of 75 tons in carbon emissions.
Curricular Economy
Recycled plastic bottles undergo shredding, flaking, melting, and extrusion to create rPET yarn, which is subsequently utilized in the knitting of gloves meeting international RCS and GRS standards. The incorporation of 20-80% recycled polyester in each glove enables a potential reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by up to 63%. Furthermore, the manufacturing of rPET yarn consumes less water and energy in contrast to virgin polyester.
SEDEX SMETA
Annually, we undergo a SEDEX SMETA 4 Pillar audit to review our ethical, social, and environmental performance. This audit, based on the SEDEX SMETA methodology, examines a broad spectrum of topics such as Labor Standards, Health and Safety, Environmental Performance, and Business Ethics. These parameters encompass aspects like working hours, workplace safety, discrimination, employee access to health care, energy use, waste management, corruption and bribery.
ISO 14001
We have adopted ISO 14001, the globally accepted standard for environmental management systems (EMS). This standard offers a structure for companies to establish and execute an EMS, as well as enhance their environmental performance over time. Adhering to this standard allows us to proactively reduce our environmental impact, meet applicable legal obligations, and reach our environmental goals. The framework covers a range of areas, including resource utilization, waste management, environmental performance monitoring, and engaging stakeholders in environmental responsibilities
Human Rights
We are implementing the SA8000 standard, which aligns with both national regulations and globally accepted labor norms. This framework encompasses guidelines that must be adhered to in nine key areas: child labor, forced labor, health and safety, freedom of association and collective bargaining rights, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours, remuneration, and management systems. By implementing SA8000, we aim to enhance workplace safety, promote healthier working environments, raise awareness of labor rights and opportunities, and ensure fair wages for employees.
ISO 45001
Our company has integrated ISO 45001, an internationally recognized framework for managing occupational health and safety risks. It enables our organization to systematically assess hazards and implement risk control measures, leading to reduced workplace injuries, illnesses and incidents. Implementing the standard demonstrates to employees and external stakeholders the organization's dedication to the health, safety, and overall well-being of workers. The standard requires complying with OH&S regulations, ensuring legal conformity. In summary, ISO 45001 enables organizations to better protect their workers and manage OH&S risks, making it an essential standard worldwide.
